Suffering

Our pastor spoke on suffering today and one thing that hit me was when he spoke about our suffering being temporary. This lifetime is temporary and short compared to an eternity in heaven with God. It made me realize that even if I suffered my ENTIRE lifetime, that is still such a small and minuscule amount of time compared to an eternity with God. It amazes me how I often get so caught up with my "woe is me" suffering of now and today and not look forward to that hope of eternity. I would be a much more joyful person if my eyes looked forward to heaven more or even constantly. Wouldn't it bring you great comfort and joy knowing that at the end of suffering is God and His love forever?
